This crazy life...

Here's a run down of my busy day. Spent two hours at the gym working on my cardio. Made lunch, showered then off to OC for an accuplacer test. Did alright on the English/Reading part but boy did I forget EVERYTHING I learned about math. It has been eight years since I last took a test so....yeah. Picked up dinner, ate, then off to the church for 3more hours of painting & another Noah meets pavement with his face moment. Home, Richard to work, cuddle time with my sweet babies & now quiet time while they sleep. Off to bed in a few then another busy day tomorrow. Funny thing is, I don't feel exhausted about today, I feel accomplished :)

What's New?

Hello all. It's been a while since I've last posted. Emily, Noah & I had an awesome time in California. It was a very much needed vacation time with my mom. For those who don't know I am a very big mama's girl so her living two states away has been very hard for me. I know its what she has needed though so I am very happy for her & proud of her. My kids very much enjoyed being able to play in the lake & stay outdoors just about every minute of every day while down there, especially when we came back home & had to bundle up again. It was a slightly hard adjustment to come home but happy to be here.
Noah did great with his potty training while down there, he even went potty on the airplane toilet (during turbulence of course). Unfortunately its been an uphill battle since being home but we're working on it. Noah is getting better with his speech which makes it easier all the way around.
Emily is just so full of curiosity & questions. Including how Noah & herself were once in my belly. I do believe she is too young to hear the full discussion of 'the birds & the bees' so its been a little interesting to say the least. She is incredibly smart, perceptive & very much ready to learn about everything.
Richard & I are busy getting things prepped for VBS coming up on the 27th. It definitely has been taking up most of our time.
Well that is all I have for now. Thanks for stopping bye & hoping life is going well for all of you :)

My Life as of Late

Hmm, so what have I been up to? Still working on the potty training with Noah, not pushing him so it is a slow process, but score Ms. Jan who got him to go potty in the nursery the other night! Woot :) Emily has been praying for our meals lately, it is also apparently very important to pray for movies & video games... but on a side note she has been "thanking God for coming into her heart so she can go up to the clouds with Him" :)

I finally made it to week two of a Bible Study & actually really read/studied my Bible for the first time. I've read it before(not all of it) but I have never really studied it, so that was exciting & a big plus for me :)

I have started working on decorations for VBS this year already. Very excited to be doing it again this year & absolutely love the drawing & painting beforehand, hoping not to have too many 3am bedtimes this time around however :) Especially since we have a couple extra months to work with.

Super duper excited about heading to Cali for a whole month to see my mom :) My kids & I are flying down to LAX super early Apr 4th, & by super early I mean plane taking off at 7:15am which is when my kids are normally waking me up :). Richard, however, can not make it until the end of the month :( He will be driving down & staying for a week. Then we will drive home around May3rd, which is already bittersweet... Can't wait to spend some much needed time with my mommy(yes I still sometimes call her mommy), grandma & aunt, as well as check out my mom's new church & make sure her friends are good people ;) J/J. Emy is really excited about riding on an airplane to see Maga(& we're going to the beach too!). This will be Noah's first plane ride, exciting. I will be taking tons of pics & videos during this trip :)

Now onto the dreaded weight loss that isn't really happening... I lost 2.5lbs but gained it back during the 3-4week stretch of crud bug in our house. It is so hard to get back in the habit of the gym when you were out of it for so long. Heading to the gym this upcoming Mon, I know I should be going now but a one car family doesn't always have that luxury, some day.... I plan on losing 12-15lbs by Apr 4th. Not trying to look good for a bathing suit(that will take a lot longer than 1month) just want to have a good start on losing this weight when I head down :)

Well that is my life as of right now, hope you enjoyed the reading :)

Weight Loss Journal #1

So Saturday I weighed in at 212.6. I didn't go to the gym yesterday (Monday, 1/24/11) but I did do double time today. Today I weighed in at 212.4. Oh yeah, I'm celebrating the ounces lost too hahaha. I spent 28min on the elliptical(I think that's how you spell it) then about 40min on weights. I don't normally do cardio & weights in the same day but since I didn't make it yesterday I had some making up to do :) Can't wait to see how this week goes.

My Life the Past Five Months

So my weight loss journey has been on hold for too long now. I lost 10lbs from Aug 2010 until Nov 2010. Then I gained 6lbs from the holidays. Monday Jan 17th Richard & I started going to the gym again. I worked on stretching & cardio for about 45min. Tues I stretched & worked on the weights. Wed it was back to cardio. Thurs I didn't want to go but made it there for some more weights. Friday I did not make it to the gym but when I weighed myself today I have lost 2lbs, which makes my current weight 212.6lbs.

Noah has been slow to talk & hard to understand so we decided to have his hearing & speech checked. His hearing is fine however his speech was at 23%. Which is still average just on the low side. The speech therapist did say that she thinks he will be fine & start talking a lot more the next few months so she wants to see him back beginning of June just to be sure.

Emily is doing great. She is very smart & very sassy lol.

Life for me has been somewhat hard this past 6-7months. For those who don't know, my mom moved to southern CA beginning of July 2010. Her move has been hard on me, I know not just for me but this is my blog so there :) She was always willing to watch my kids when things needed to get done & the kids weren't allowing it so that has been a huge adjustment for me. The holidays were super hard, these were the first holidays without my mom in the past 26yrs. New Years Eve I spent with my kids & nephews bringing the new year in alone. When it hit midnight I became very sad & was depressed until I woke up June 9th. I have been feeling great since & really working on managing my time better, since I have always been terrible at it lol.

Anyways, I know this is kind of long & wordy but it is actually really condensed since it is about 6months worth of stuff haha. I hope to continue on my weight loss journey & be down to about 180 by June.
